WIKA B 5/20
It is a processed product of Buton asphalt which is broken down into small particles or granules with a penetration value of 5dmm with a Bitumen content of 20% and has been dried to a water content of 4%.
Functions and Uses:
- As a filler material that can increase stability and stiffness in Hot Mix Asphalt with a mixtures of 2 - 3% B 5/20.
Superiority :
- Has a higher asphaltene content than petroleum asphalt
- Natural asphalt equivalent to Gilsonite which is harder than petroleum asphalt
- The content of CaCO3 Mineral and Natural Asphalt can increase the stiffness of hot mix compared to hot mix with oil asphalt.
- Improve the quality of hot mix to be equivalent to hot mix using modified asphalt

How to Use Buton B 5/20 Asphalt
- No modifications are required to the Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP).
- B 5/20 is fed into the AMP mixer from the bin filler via the filler elevator.
- Spreading hotmix with B 5/20 on the road is like working with regular hotmix.
